Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Accessibility Specialist to ensure our digital products meet the highest accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and test: Conduct automated and manual audits for websites, documents, and multimedia content, ensuring seamless user experience for everyone.
  • Remediate: Provide clear, prioritized fixes and hands-on support for PDFs, Office documents, videos, and multimedia content, enhancing overall accessibility.
  • Guide developers: Share knowledge of accessible coding practices and prepare VPATs/ACRs, promoting inclusive design principles.
  • Advise clients: Stay up-to-date on emerging US/state accessibility laws and support ongoing compliance programs, ensuring long-term success.

Required Skills & Tools:

  • In-depth knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA Title II/III, Section 504/508
  • Familiarity with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe, WAVE, SiteImprove, Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Proficiency in HTML5, ARIA, CSS3, JavaScript (React/Angular a plus)

Preferred Certifications:

  • IAAP CPWA (Certified Professional in Web Accessibility)
  • IAAP WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist)
  • IAAP ADS (Accessible Document Specialist)
