Okta Expert

Job Description:

As an Okta expert, you will serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for Okta solutions across various projects. Your primary responsibility will be to design, configure, and implement Okta Identity Cloud features, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Lifecycle Management, Universal Directory, and API access management.

You will also integrate Okta with various applications using SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and other protocols. Additionally, you will work closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, and security leads to define access control strategies and identity workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Okta Identity Cloud features.
  • Integrate Okta with various applications.
  • Define access control strategies and identity workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Conduct health checks, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning of Okta environments.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of overall experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Okta Identity Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of SSO, MFA, OAuth2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and API security.
  • Experience with Okta Workflows, custom scripting, and identity automation.
  • Familiarity with integrating Okta with cloud services.
  • Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Okta certifications are a strong advantage.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with adjacent IAM tools like SailPoint, Saviynt, or CyberArk.
  • Scripting skills for automation and customization.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native IAM practices.
