Job Summary

Risk analysts play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and stability of organizations by identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks. We are seeking an experienced Risk Analyst to develop and implement credit risk models and associated frameworks for our rural and semi-urban lending operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust credit risk models and associated frameworks to ensure accurate risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Design and monitor credit risk strategies across the lending life cycle, including acquisition, underwriting, cross-sell, and collections.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify early warning signals and analyze portfolio trends to track portfolio quality based on accepted risk parameters.
  • Evaluate and ensure that risk policies are timely reviewed and reflect the dynamic external environment and internal risk appetite.
  • Extract insights from industry data on a large scale, prepare management information systems (MIS), and provide key findings to senior management on changing market conditions.
  • Regularly review processes to ensure adherence to risk policies and check if controls are effectively in place and working.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to strengthen the risk framework.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a reputable college/university.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in managing risk in a non-banking financial company (NBFC), fintech, or lending organization.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL programming languages is mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to extract valuable insights from data.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical models and their application in risk analysis.
  • Experience in microfinance/MSME lending is an added advantage.
