Job Overview

The Chief Risk Officer plays a pivotal role in assessing and mitigating risks associated with operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and enhancing overall audit processes within the organization.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation Strategies
  • Develop annual risk assessment plans based on operational analysis and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present risk findings, reports, and recommendations to senior management and audit committees.
Audit Planning and Execution
  • Plan and execute internal audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to address identified issues.
Regulatory Compliance and Monitoring
  • Monitor regulatory compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and guidelines related to risk management and audit activities.
Risk Management Frameworks and Methodologies
  • Evaluate and identify potential risks within various operational areas of the organization.
  • Develop risk assessment frameworks and methodologies to identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks effectively.
Collaborative Risk Mitigation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide recommendations for improving risk management practices and enhancing internal controls.
Professional Development and Stay Current
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to risk management and auditing.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of audit methodologies.

Required Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with 8+ years of experience. A minimum of 2-3 years of audit-related experience in the Mutual Fund Industry is preferred. Professional certification or post-graduation such as MBA is also preferred.
