Procurement Leadership Role

The ideal candidate will lead the development and implementation of procurement strategies that align with business objectives for solar EPC projects. Key responsibilities include negotiating contracts for critical solar components, inverters, structures, cables, transformers, and BoP items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to drive business competitiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts for solar modules, inverters, structures, cables, transformers, and BoP items.
  • Establish partnerships with suppliers to ensure security of supply, quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Build a diverse vendor base while ensuring supplier sustainability and compliance.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality, timelines, and contractual commitments.
  • Drive cost optimisation through strategic negotiations, bulk procurement, localisation, and alternate sourcing.
  • Analyse market trends and anticipate supply chain risks.
  • Ensure procurement practices comply with corporate governance, statutory regulations, and sustainability goals.
  • Mitigate supply chain risks proactively.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead and mentor the procurement team across corporate and site functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Projects, Finance, Legal, and Operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering; MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain/Operations preferred.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in leadership roles, preferably in large-scale solar/renewable energy projects.
  • Proven track record in procurement for large-scale solar projects.
