Job Overview:

This role involves overseeing farm operations, including land preparation, procurement of agricultural inputs, seed purchase planning, and daily monitoring of crop health.

Agriculture graduate students are eligible to apply. This position requires candidates to be willing to work closely with laborers and be hands-on.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Prepare land-specific packages of practices for energy crop farming, develop and implement planting, cultivation, and harvesting plans, oversee resource use, ensure quality control, and optimize yields.
  • Sustainability and Compliance: Implement sustainable agricultural practices, maintain environmental stewardship and social responsibility, and ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Communication and Leadership: Train, motivate, and lead a team of employees, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and foster a positive work environment.

Specific Tasks:

  1. Monitor and report on plantation sites
  2. Oversee land clearing, preparation, and maintenance
  3. Supervise planting, fertilization, pest control, gap filling, and other cultivation activities
  4. Manage harvesting operations and ensure proper post-harvest handling and storage
  5. Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery
  6. Maintain accurate records of all plantation activities
