Program Director Role Overview

This position entails strategic portfolio management responsibilities with accountability for multi-year roadmaps and stakeholder engagement. The role involves delivering value through collaboration with global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage small-scale programs with well-defined plans and methodologies.
  • Drive cross-functional, large-scale programs to ensure timely delivery within budget and scope.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of programs, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risk tracking, and stakeholder communication.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the product development process to achieve successful project completion and business goals.
  • Plan and manage portfolio-level financials, ensuring budget accountability.
  • Act as a liaison between operating units and global teams.
  • Present analysis and updates to senior leadership.
  • Drive process standardization, continuous improvement, and simplification initiatives.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and obtain their engagement to ensure effective solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field with software experience.
  • At least 18 years of IT experience, with 10+ years of project management experience in medical devices.
  • Hands-on experience in architecting complex dashboards using Power BI or other tools.
  • Certifications like PMP, CSM, SAFe/RTE, or ART experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to influence customers.
