Corporate Credit Analyst Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled corporate credit analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, with the ability to perform thorough risk assessments and provide expert advice on lending opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of EMEA corporate clients, undertaking detailed due diligence on borrowers and industry, and collaborating with stakeholders to promote optimal risk / return on lending opportunities.

  • Perform forward-looking fundamental credit analysis on borrowers, annual reviews and limit renewals, support on ad-hoc requests and periodic reviews when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of EMEA corporate clients and undertake objective detailed due diligence of borrowers / industry.
  • Managing end-to-end annual renewal of limits and borrower ratings as per the Bank's credit processes and procedures collaborating with other stakeholders (Relationship Managers, Product teams and Credit Officers / Approvers).
  • Covenant checks and periodic monitoring reports.
  • Preparation of periodic sector reports and event-based stress tests of the portfolio as necessary.
  • Support Relationship Managers / Senior Credit Analysts in the department on ad-hoc requests related to new transactions or other portfolio reviews.
  • Audit management - Internal, External including regulatory inspections.
Requirements and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in fundamental corporate analysis gained in either a bank (or their Global Capability Centre), asset manager or rating agency environment.

Minimum 7-8 years of post-graduate experience is required, preferably with a degree in CA / CFA / MBA Finance or equivalent.

Functional / Technical Competencies:

  • Experience of covering EMEA Large Corporates.
  • Good understanding of loan documentation and key credit protections.
  • Understanding of market risk and ISDA documents would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg / CapIQ and similar systems.
