The Role:

As a Senior Economist, you will be responsible for expanding our coverage of existing countries and their respective economists. You will also play a key role in initiating coverage in new countries within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct macro research and analysis on various countries and regions to provide valuable insights to our team.
  2. Develop and maintain sound economic concepts and statistical skills with experience working with large datasets.
  3. Utilize advanced Excel skills and have a good understanding of econometrics to drive data-driven decision making.
  4. Effectively communicate complex economic ideas through written and verbal reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Stay up-to-date with global financial markets and recent developments to provide timely market commentary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience in macro research, country coverage, or economics is highly desirable.
  2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  4. Ability to think critically and strategically with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
