Cloud Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and data structures/algorithms, with 8+ years of experience in designing and delivering high-quality features and tasks.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting, as well as proven experience in building cloud-native data-intensive applications on Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform.

The key requirements for this role include:

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in using Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting with production experience
  • 3 years of proven experience in building cloud-native data-intensive applications, with Amazon Web Services experience being a must
  • Experience in data warehouse design and development using modern data warehouses, including Databricks and dbt
  • Highly proficient in architecting and implementing workflow management systems, including Airflow
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes

Required skills include a fundamental understanding of Parquet, Delta Lake, and other OTFs file formats, proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation, and experience with observability systems like Datadog or Prometheus/Grafana.

As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will be responsible for providing readable business documentation and participating in code reviews. You will also focus on business value vs engineering interest and provide proactive service-oriented support to internal customers.
