Market Risk Professional

We are seeking an experienced Market Risk professional to join our team in a dynamic environment.

  • Develop and implement policies and guidelines for enhanced monitoring of Treasury/Investment/Liquidity risk.
  • Value Treasury portfolios, including Forex, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equity, and other assets.
  • Provide independent mid-office monitoring support on NOP, Fixed income, FIG, Derivatives, limit monitoring, and others.
  • Monitor hedge effectiveness on a periodic basis and implement and calculate Capital charge and Counterparty Risk Charge.
  • Perform technical analysis of Equities, Bonds, and Money market funds.
  • Monitor all types of limits with respect to treasury activities as prescribed in Internal and regulatory policies.
  • Reconcile MTM with counterparty banks for derivatives deals undertaken and make/respond margin calls in term of CSA arrangement with them.
  • Prepare Regulatory and internal daily and periodical reports and Board notes on accurate and timely submission.
  • Enhance methodologies for counterpart credit risk measures like PFE, CVA, etc.
  • Periodically review banks' new products related to Market risk and provide risk mitigation controls.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in Middle East banks.
  • Strong background in risk management.
  • Proven track record of managing specialized risk functions within the Enterprise Risk Management practice of a bank.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
