Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to manage and effectively represent Grifols Bioscience portfolio in the East region. The successful candidate will work with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the region, establish Grifols as a partner in advancing science and therapy awareness, and achieve sales, market share, and other key objectives of the assigned area.

Main Responsibilities

  • Execute business strategies and use available resources to achieve organizational objectives and achieve given budgets.
  • Provide a monthly sales forecast to HO to facilitate sales planning process at the national level and track and manage alignment of sales objectives with national sales objectives.
  • Manage distributors of existing network: evaluate and identify new (if required) channel partners with established credentials.
  • Represent Grifols by building and maintaining professional and ethical relationships with key accounts, medical fraternity, opinion leaders/KOL, and thereby ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report market conditions and competitor activities on an ongoing basis: agree on strategies with HO and implement localized tactics to pre-empt and counter these conditions/activities.
  • Manage costs by devising optimum account coverage plans, marketing initiatives, and controlling expenses of team members.
  • Participate in formulating Marketing Strategies and ensure implementation.

Requirements

  • You have at least 6-7 years of Sales experience in an established pharmaceutical/healthcare Company, in any/all segments of Hepatology, Intensive Care, Hematology, or Genetic blood disorders.
  • You are a graduate in Pharmacy or Biotech or Biology or other relevant streams. MBA or post-graduate in Management will be preferred.
  • You have an understanding of the dynamics of institutional business (both Govt. and Corporate).
  • You are an effective communicator, oriented to results, used to deal with ambiguity, and a problem solver.
  • You have availability to travel.
