Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Application Support Specialist.

This position involves providing expert-level technical assistance for banking and fintech applications, acting as the first point of contact for users, and resolving their issues or escalating them as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

They should also have experience in application support, preferably in fintech, banking, or financial services, with a good understanding of incident and ticketing tools, such as Jira or ServiceNow.

Additionally, they should be familiar with SQL and basic database query writing for issue analysis.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide L1/L2 application support for banking and fintech applications.
  2. Act as the first point of contact for users, understanding and resolving their issues or escalating them as needed.
  3. Perform incident analysis, root cause identification, and resolution tracking.
  4. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  5. Document issues, troubleshooting steps, and solutions in the knowledge base.
  6. Monitor application logs and system alerts to proactively identify potential issues.
  7. Support regular deployments, patch releases, and production validations.
  8. Communicate effectively with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 1–3 years of experience in application support, preferably in fintech, banking, or financial services.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple support tickets under time constraints.
  • Understanding of incident and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Familiarity with SQL and basic database query writing for issue analysis.
  • Exposure to ITIL practices or service management workflows.
