We are currently seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to ensure the stability and performance of our business-critical applications built on Progress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced technical support for applications developed using Progress OpenEdge.
  • Monitor application performance and maintain system availability.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, service requests, and problem tickets within set Service Level Agreements.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes to recurring technical problems.
  • Manage batch processes, jobs, and scheduled tasks.
  • Collaborate with development teams for bug fixes, enhancements, and release deployments.
  • Support application upgrades, patches, and migration activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven hands-on experience with Progress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL) in a technical support environment.
  • Good understanding of Progress Database concepts and performance troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience in incident management, problem management, and change management.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands and scripting languages.
  • Exposure to ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Expert-level knowledge of Progress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL) and its related technologies.
  • Proficient in analyzing complex technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
