Job Title: IT Asset Management Specialist

Required Experience: 7+ Years

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement End-to-End ITAM Processes: Create comprehensive IT asset management processes for hardware and software.
  • Oversee Software Asset Management Lifecycle: Manage the entire lifecycle of software asset management, including license management, compliance audits, procurement, renewals, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with teams to ensure cost optimization and compliance.
  • Perform Software Discovery and Reconciliation: Conduct thorough software discovery, reconciliation, and compliance checks across multiple publishers.
  • Provide Strategic Insights: Offer strategic insights for vendor negotiations, true-up, and contract renewals.
  • Drive Process Improvements and Automation: Lead process improvements and automation within ITAM/SAM practice.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create Dashboards and Reports: Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor ITAM/SAM performance and governance.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong Experience in ITAM and SAM Tools: Proficient in using IT asset management and software asset management tools.
  • Solid Understanding of License Models: Possess a solid understanding of license models (perpetual, subscription, cloud/SaaS, BYOL, enterprise agreements).
  • Hands-on Experience in Software License Optimization: Have hands-on experience in software license optimization, audits, and compliance management.
  • Ability to Manage Hardware Asset Lifecycle: Skilled in managing hardware asset lifecycle (procurement, inventory, disposal, refresh).
  • Familiarity with ITIL Processes: Familiarity with ITIL processes (especially ITAM/SAM, CMDB, Incident, Change, and Procurement).
  • Strong Analytical and Reporting Skills: Possess excellent analytical and reporting skills with experience in Excel, Power BI, or ServiceNow reports.
  • Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
