Senior Platform Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Platform Engineer to lead our Developer Productivity/Platform Engineering team and drive initiatives that improve developer experience, accelerate release cycles, and build scalable internal platforms.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and building internal tools and platforms that optimize CI/CD, testing frameworks, and infrastructure automation. This includes hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Spinnaker/Jenkins/ArgoCD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Developer Productivity/Platform Engineering team and set the vision and execution roadmap.
  • Design and build internal tools and platforms that optimize CI/CD, testing frameworks, and infrastructure automation.
  • Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions, including Kubernetes, AWS, ephemeral environments, and service monitoring tools.
  • Partner with engineering leaders to align developer experience initiatives with org-wide goals and OKRs.
  • Champion best practices around continuous delivery, developer efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Evaluate team's work internally and externally through workshops, training, cross-team adoption, conferences, blogs, and OSS.
  • Mentor engineers, foster innovation, and build a culture of experimentation and learning.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 3 years in platform/dev productivity roles.
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Spinnaker/Jenkins/ArgoCD, and IaC.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, dynamic test selection, code quality gates.
  • Strong coding skills in Go, Python, or Java (Go preferred for tooling/frameworks).
  • Experience designing ephemeral environments, monitoring/observability tools.
  • Proven track record of leading small teams, mentoring engineers, and driving large-scale initiatives.
  • Strong communication and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
