Technical Procurement Specialist

Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Technical Procurement Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with vessel superintendents for the efficient supply of technical spare parts and services.
  2. Manage purchasing activities, arranging logistics for spare part delivery and ensuring seamless communication with vessels.
  3. Obtain quotations from suppliers worldwide for annual/bi-annual/5-yearly/10-yearly services and technical spare parts.
  4. Coordinate with vessels regarding requisition information, following up on supplier quotations in a timely manner.
  5. Prepare purchase orders, delivery orders, proforma invoices, and packing lists accurately and efficiently.
  6. Assist in logistics arrangement (air freight, sea freight, land transport, sea transport) to meet customer needs.
  7. Collaborate with agents and ships for convenient spare part delivery and repair services, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
  8. Process invoices by verifying vendor invoices against quotations within credit term periods, maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
  9. Document filing and printing of invoices in accordance with established procedures.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by management or superintendents, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong procurement skills and experience in managing technical spare parts and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering results in a timely manner.
  • Familiarity with logistics and transportation processes, including air freight, sea freight, land transport, and sea transport.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, driving business growth and improvement.
  • High level of integrity, with strong ethical standards and commitment to transparency.
