Technical Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee technical operations, analyze performance, and implement corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage vessel reports, analyze performance metrics, and ensure prompt resolution of defects and observations raised during audits and inspections.
  2. Monitor Performance Monitoring System (PMS) compliance and propose improvements to the database and system.
  3. Prepare annual operating expenses budgets, control costs, and maintain validity of all certification and documentation.
  4. Coordinate procurement of spares and critical equipment with cost-effective options and plan and supervise dry-docking, repairs, and technical projects.
  5. Provide technical guidance and training to onboard crew, conduct periodic physical inspections, and investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
  • 10-12 years of experience in the shipping industry on large sea-going vessels with international trading experience and at least 2 years of sailing experience as a Chief Engineer.
  • Preferably at least 2 years of shore experience as Superintendent.
  • Strong understanding of Total Management System Audit (TMSA) and RightShip requirements, and experience working on cranes and grabs for bulk carriers.
  • Work experience on Medium-Speed Engines will be preferred.
