About the Role

As a seasoned professional, you will drive the design and implementation of data governance solutions across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the deployment and management of data governance solutions for data compliance and risk management.
  • Develop and implement data classification and protection policies across cloud-native environments.
  • Configure and manage data loss prevention, insider risk management, and eDiscovery solutions.
  • Integrate with Microsoft Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Exchange for end-to-end compliance enforcement.
  • Assess current data estate, identify compliance gaps, and propose remediation strategies.
  • Support data cataloging, lineage tracking, and metadata management to strengthen governance.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, training, and adoption workshops.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for data governance solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience in Data Governance or Information Protection.
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Purview, including Compliance Manager, DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, and Records Management.
  • Proven track record with sensitivity labels, retention policies, and data classification frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, and SharePoint Online.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks and ability to map them into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Good to Have (Preferred):

  • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate or Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender and the wider M365 security ecosystem.
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale deployments, migrations, and compliance rollouts.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, and governance workflows.
