Job Title: Data Management Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Data Management Expert with extensive experience in managing and maintaining large-scale database systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in installing, upgrading, and migrating SQL Servers. They will apply patches or service packs for SQL Server and configure high availability/disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.

The selected individual will work on resolving incidents, change tickets, and problem tickets related to database management. They will also set up maintenance plans for backups, database integrity checks, rebuild indexes, update statistics, and ensure that all jobs run without issues.

The role requires troubleshooting locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, and lock timeouts. The successful candidate will fix these issues and join bridge calls to troubleshoot and resolve P1 (SEV1) and P2 (SEV2) incidents.

Experience in Always On and DB Mirroring is required. The chosen candidate will execute changes of db schema and maintain a controlled development database environment. They will collaborate closely with application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers based on application demands.

The position involves handling database object deployment to Integration, QA, UAT, and Production environments. The candidate will provide day-to-day support for high OLTP HA of SQL Server databases, identify root causes of production problems, and work with developers to resolve such issues.

The selected individual will also be responsible for performance tuning and creating missing indexes. Experience in scripting using Perl and PowerShell is required, as well as experience in AWS/Azure.
