  • Key Responsibilities:

The Product Development Director leads the execution of product lifecycle processes for Insurtech products/platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure fulfillment of product requirements and evaluates product performance.

This role is responsible for leading technical discussions with Engineering teams, managing technical/business requirements, and ensuring the technology and architectural roadmap of engineering aligns with the product/business road map.

The Product Development Director will mentor/drive a team of Product Managers while acting as a technical consultant to the product organization and lead research, and prototyping of innovative technologies and products.

This role ensures customer liaison on technical issues related to product integration, custom development, and requirements, may lead major releases, and ensure feature enhancements respond to customer requests. Responsible for product delivery, managing schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 9+ years of experience in Product Management, including analyzing software/product design, development, and deployment.
  • Bachelor's/Master's or equivalent Degree in technology or related field.
  • Strong Background of working as a Technical & Functional Product Manager or Business Analyst/Product Analyst in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on understanding of API Integration, SQL, Data Analysis etc.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC & technology system interfaces, data integration, networks, and operating systems.
  • Coaching & mentoring a team of Product Managers or Product Owners.
  • An SME who performs work with a high degree of latitude; handles the most complex issues.
  • Possess strong Communication skills, Problem-solving & Analytical thinking skills.
  • Can lead individual assignments & deliver with strong expertise.
  • Expert level experience in delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and the use of relevant tools.
  • Ability to influence, lead, and work as part of a cross-functional in a global team setup.
  • Experience in Life & Annuity Industry is preferred, not mandatory.
