
International Expansion Strategist

We are seeking a skilled Investment Opportunities Manager to play a crucial role in understanding the expansion plans of Indian companies into international markets.
Your primary responsibility will be to engage with clients, generate leads, and support International Economic Development Agencies (EDAs & EDOs) towards attracting investments in their region.
The role involves interaction and business development meetings with Indian companies looking to invest into international markets, specifically UAE. Having strong networking skills and a thorough understanding of various business sectors of client countries is critical for this role.
You will need to identify companies with business interests to invest/expand in the international markets and generate leads. The aim of this research and discussions will be to uncover FDI opportunities for our clients i.e., Economic Development Organization (EDO) of selected countries, states, and regions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Interacting with overseas companies/consultants via various modes of communication like email, telephonic interviews, participating in seminars/networking events, and meetings to understand their expansion plans.
- Identifying opportunities for our clients.
- Presenting our client's geography as a potential business location for company's expansion plans.
- Analyzing and formulating reports from data/information gathered from interactions and meetings.
- Engaging with the client, managing delegation visits, client visits, virtual webinars, investors road shows for client accounts.
- Writing proposals, business plan, and analysis.
- Setting up meetings with CXO level executives of qualified companies.
- Preparing and delivering presentations on research findings and trends on cross-border investments, Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) to the clients.
- Interacting with overseas clients and providing regular updates through the project.
- Preparing and delivering presentations on client's geography and proposition to international companies.
- Managing junior team members and mentoring them through the process.
- Authoring reports containing actionable recommendations.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 3-4 years in Trade promotion bodies/Expert Network/Trade & Investment Promotion/Investment Attraction/SME-Corporate Banking/Economic Development/Market Entry with experience in business development and handling overseas clients.
- Strong industry expertise and networks. Experience of business development will be preferred.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English is must.
- Understanding of Market Entry, Cross-Border Investments, Internationalization via International market expansion.
- Experience of New Business Development and Client Handling.
