Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Apply tax deductions, benefit deductions, and garnishments correctly.
  • Manage new hires, terminations, and employee status changes in the payroll system.
  • Verify payroll data accuracy, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and other compensation-related data.
Compliance and Reporting

Ensure payroll processing complies with federal, state, and local tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and company policies. Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax reports. Assist with audits related to payroll processing and maintain records according to legal requirements.

Stay updated with payroll-related legislation, regulations, and best practices. Provide guidance on tax withholdings, paychecks, and compliance matters.

Employee Inquiries and Support

Resolve payroll-related inquiries and provide support to employees. Offer guidance on payroll issues, including tax withholdings and benefits.

Payroll Systems and Data Management

Assist in managing and maintaining payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Support the integration of new payroll systems or software and troubleshoot system-related issues.

Ad-hoc Projects

Support payroll-related ad-hoc projects and assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Assist with year-end payroll activities, including preparation of W-2 forms and reports.
