We're seeking a highly skilled Lead Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure systems and processes to protect our customers' sensitive data.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the security posture of our company. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including integration of security checks into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement secure architecture patterns, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Partner with compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant security standards and regulations.
Cloud & Infrastructure Security:
  • Design and implement secure cloud configurations, including identity and access management (IAM) and encryption.
  • Implement and manage cloud-native security services, such as AWS GuardDuty and Security Hub.
  • Develop and enforce infrastructure-as-code (IaC) security controls using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Security Architecture & Best Practices:
  • Champion a shift-left approach to security, collaborating with developers early in the SDLC to provide actionable feedback during design, build, and review phases.
  • Collaborate with product managers and infrastructure leads to ensure security is embedded into architectural decisions, particularly for high-risk features or regulated workflows.
  • Define and promote secure defaults, least-privilege access, and zero-trust architectural principles.
Governance, Risk & Compliance:
  • Support compliance initiatives by building and documenting enforceable security controls.
  • Work with auditors and risk teams to demonstrate maturity of security processes and ongoing improvements.
