Market Risk Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Market Risk Manager to lead our specialized risk management functions within the Enterprise Risk Management practice of a leading financial institution in the GCC.

The ideal candidate will possess 6-8 years of relevant experience, preferably with Middle East banks, and be well-versed in:

  • Establishing policies/guidelines on enhanced monitoring of Treasury/Investment/ALM/Liquidity risk.
  • Valuing Treasury portfolios – Forex, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equity, and others.
  • Providing independent mid-office monitoring support on NOP, Fixed income, FIG, Derivatives, limit monitoring, etc.
  • Monitoring hedge effectiveness on a periodic basis.
  • Implementing and calculating Capital charge and Counterparty Risk Charge.
  • Analyzing Equities, Bonds, and Money market funds.
  • Performing all types of limit monitoring with respect to treasury activities as prescribed in Internal and regulatory policies.
  • Reconciling MTM with counterparty banks for derivatives deals undertaken and making/responding margin calls in term of CSA arrangement with them.
  • Preparing Regulatory and internal daily and periodical reports and Board notes on accurate and timely submission.
  • Enhancing methodologies for counterpart credit risk measures like PFE, CVA, etc.

The successful candidate will also have experience implementing ALM/Market Risk system from end to end and be familiar with ICAAP, RAROC, FTP methodologies. Additionally, they should be able to handle Audit queries and provide active assistance in audit.

In this role, you will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and minimizing potential risks to the organization.
