Strategic Risk Manager Position

Job Overview:

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Risk Manager to assume responsibility for managing risk in lending environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in credit risk models and statistical analysis, with the ability to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy credit risk models and associated frameworks to mitigate risk in unsecured rural/semi-urban lending contexts.
  • Implement and monitor risk management strategies across the lending lifecycle, including acquisition, underwriting, cross-sell, and collections.
  • Analyze portfolio performance on a regular basis using various risk metrics, identifying early warning signals and tracking portfolio trends to ensure alignment with accepted risk parameters.
  • Review and update risk policies to reflect changing external environments and internal risk appetites.
  • Extract insights from large datasets, create data visualizations, and present findings to senior management on market trends.
  • Regularly assess processes for adherence to risk policies, verifying the effectiveness of controls and recommending improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen the risk framework and enhance overall risk management capabilities.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a reputable institution.
  • 3-6 years of experience in managing risk in Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), Fintech, or Lending environments.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL is mandatory, with excellent understanding of data and analytical skills.
  • Sound knowledge of statistical models and experience in Microfinance/MSME Lending is an added advantage.
