Purchasing Specialist

We seek an accomplished Purchasing Specialist to oversee end-to-end procurement of electrical products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for electrical items (cables, switchgears, panels, etc.).
  • Negotiation: Float RFQs, prepare price comparison sheets, and negotiate for the best pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Tech Understanding: Review and interpret SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) to ensure purchases align with project requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain and update vendor lists, develop new suppliers, and conduct vendor audits.
  • Dispatch and Tracking: Coordinate with project/logistics teams for dispatches, tracking, and resolving any delays or discrepancies.
  • Procurement Records: Maintain accurate procurement records (quotations, POs, payments, approvals).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–4 years of procurement experience in an electrical trading company.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
