Job Opportunity: Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to lead our purchasing activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead Procurement Activities:
    • Manage end-to-end procurement operations including vendor selection, negotiations, and order finalization.
    • Handle tender submission on GeM portal and other portals.
  • Coordinate Logistics:
    • Coordinate and monitor import and export activities including documentation, shipping, and delivery to overseas clients.
    • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, machinery, spares, and other required goods.
  • Maintain Supplier Relationships:
    • Maintain and build strong supplier relationships and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure cost-effective sourcing while maintaining quality.
  • Support Business Operations:
    • Prepare purchase reports, budgets, and forecasts as required.

Necessary Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in purchase/supply chain management.
  • Excellent command of the English language (spoken & written).
  • Experience handling tenders, bids, and GeM portal transactions is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in import & export documentation and shipping line processes will be an added advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to search and evaluate new vendors on online platforms.
