Job Title: System Reliability Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled System Reliability Specialist to join our team. This critical role involves monitoring system health, managing incident communications, and ensuring high reliability of globally deployed web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor System Health: Detect failures and performance issues using observability tools
  • Incident Response: Act as primary point of contact, initiating reports from automated alerts or joining active incident channels
  • Critical Communication: Serve as main point of contact during incidents, delivering frequent updates to customers and incident commanders
  • System Assessment: Interpret operational metrics such as Quantiles, P99, and Prometheus data
  • Microservices Architecture: Track and manage permutations of a globally deployed architecture running on Kubernetes
  • Collaboration: Work with engineering and support teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Customer Service: Maintain strong communication throughout incident lifecycles
  • Cloud Platform Support: Utilize foundational knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms to support infrastructure monitoring
  • Adaptability: Ramp up quickly on existing systems and processes
