Job Overview

The role of a Payroll Associate involves overseeing payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing. This includes compliance with relevant labor laws and providing strategic support to the HR and Finance departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing & Accuracy
    • End-to-end payroll process oversight for timely and accurate payment of wages, benefits, and bonuses.
    • Review of payroll calculations, including hours worked, overtime, deductions, and allowances.
    • Monitoring and resolution of any payroll discrepancies or errors to ensure smooth payroll runs.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payroll laws and tax regulations.
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, employee benefits regulations, and other payroll-related legislation.
    • Proper filing of payroll tax returns and mandatory government reports.
  • Payroll Reporting & Analytics
    • Preparation and presentation of accurate payroll reports for management, including summaries of payroll expenses, tax withholdings, and data analysis.
    • Analysis of payroll data and provision of insights to senior management to assist with decision-making and budgeting.
    • Required statutory reports generation on time.
  • Employee Queries & Resolution
    • Point of contact for escalated payroll-related issues and queries from employees and management.
    • Clear and timely responses to employee payroll inquiries, including tax calculations and deductions.
  • Payroll Systems & Process Improvement
    • Collaboration with HRIS and payroll software systems for smooth payroll operations and data accuracy.
    • Identification of opportunities to streamline payroll processes and recommendation of improvements for better efficiency and compliance.
    • System upgrades or changes coordination with IT and other departments.
