We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Operations Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for data centre operations and maintenance.

About the Role

The Data Centre Operations Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre infrastructure. This includes monitoring and maintaining all equipment, performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance, and responding to alerts and incidents as they arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain data centre equipment, including servers, networking devices, and power systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of data centre infrastructure.
  • Ensure all systems are up and running, responding to alerts and incidents as they arise.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software in the data centre.
  • Maintain documentation of data centre operations, equipment, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to facilitate system upgrades and expansions.
  • Implement and enforce data centre policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • 6-8 years of experience in data centre operations or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of server hardware, networking, and data centre infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools and data centre management software.
  • Knowledge of power and cooling systems used in data centres.
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
