Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data centre control and monitoring systems to join our team as a Control Systems Expert. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled individual who can drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced control and monitoring systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the design of data centre control and monitoring systems from conceptual phase to project delivery
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders including mechanical, electrical, structural, architectural, and controls specialists to ensure system functionality and resiliency
  • Create tender requirements for specialist consultants
  • Review consultant designs and implementations
  • Manage operational activities during new system implementations and upgrades
  • Maintain control and monitoring uptime in the central NOC room in coordination with the IT team and vendors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited institution
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in control and monitoring system implementation for data centre projects
  • Expertise in analog control and monitoring, direct digital controllers, programmable logic controllers, ELV systems, and UPS systems
  • Strong understanding of data centre control and monitoring expectations and time scales
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements and local practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in green field design, live data centre modification, maintenance operation, testing and commissioning
  • Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, telecommunication, structural, architectural, quantity survey, cost estimation, project management, construction management, and facilities management
