We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controls Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for control systems in the data center industry or data center projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and leading the design of control and monitoring systems from the concept phase to project delivery.

  • Review and lead the design of Control and Monitoring systems from the concept phase to project delivery
  • Coordinate with the Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Architectural, Controls and other specialists to ensure resiliency, functionality, segregation, bandwidth and others is sufficient
  • Create tender requirements for Control and Monitoring systems for specialist consultants
  • Review specialist consultants' designs and implementations
  • Review Control and Monitoring contractor submissions and implementations
  • Assist in resolving End User Monitoring and Control issues
  • Manage operational activities during new implementations and upgrades of existing systems
  • Maintain Control and Monitoring uptime in the Central NOC room in coordination with the IT team and vendors
  • Develop and maintain Control and Monitoring standards for BDx

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Control and Monitoring system implementation for Data Centre projects
  • Understanding of data center Control and Monitoring expectations and time scale
  • Understanding of statutory requirements and local practices
  • Expertise in Analog control and monitoring, Direct Digital Controller , Programable Logical Controller, ELV systems, UPS systems
  • Ability to work well under pressure and strict timelines
  • Experience working in different countries
