Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of our corporate databases.

This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical skills, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Database Management: Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to production systems both on premise and in the Public Cloud.
  • Database Configuration and Maintenance: Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Data Modelling: Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
  • Issue Resolution: Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution.
  • Process Improvement: Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
  • Development Support: Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
  • Technical Expertise: Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to peers and team members.

The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
