About the Role

As a seasoned database engineer, you will be responsible for creating and managing complex database systems. Your expertise in MongoDB administration is highly valued, and you will have the opportunity to work with talented engineers and system administrators to design and develop cutting-edge solutions.

This role requires strong technical skills, including expertise in Linux and network maintenance, as well as proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and Shell.

You will also be expected to collaborate with developers, debug, and optimize database queries to ensure performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing and developing database systems, leveraging your expertise in MongoDB administration.
  • Optimize database systems for performance and reliability, ensuring data integrity and quality.
  • Maintain standard policies for database development activities, identifying and rectifying errors in a timely manner.
  • Create physical and logical database models, manage and monitor performance, capacity, and security of database systems.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in database engineering, administration, and support, with 6+ years specifically in MongoDB, Maria/Oracle DB databases.
  • Expertise in MongoDB administration in a production environment, with hands-on noSQL experience from evaluation to deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning of clusters.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and noSQL landscape and available frameworks, strong Linux and network maintenance skills.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, including Perl, Python, and Shell, strong SQL skills and experience.
