Job Description

We're seeking a seasoned expert in data engineering to join our technology teams. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancing applications leveraging Spark, Scala, Pyspark, Databricks, Airflow, SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes.

You'll also be responsible for deploying application components using CI/CD pipelines, building utilities for monitoring and automating repetitive functions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

In addition, you'll participate in rotational support schedules to provide timely and accurate responses to customer queries and deploy bug fixes.

Requirements
  • 8-12 years of applicable software engineering experience
  • Strong fundamentals with experience in Bigdata technologies, Spark, Pyspark, Scala, Pandas, Databricks, Airflow, SQL
  • Experience in cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Experience in performance optimization of Spark workloads
  • Good knowledge of DevOps Technologies as GIT Hub, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
  • Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface across cross-functional technology teams
  • Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
