Job Overview

The Barista role requires a skilled professional to prepare and serve high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This position demands attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and blended drinks.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Ensure proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment by checking their temperatures.
  • Provide customers with detailed information about menu items and suggest products that may appeal to them.
  • Order and receive supplies or retail products, and restock as necessary.
  • Assist customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions.
  • Process customer payments efficiently and accurately.
  • Prepare and serve snacks, including muffins, biscotti, or bagels.
  • Restock customer service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.
  • Communicate customer orders effectively to other team members for preparation.

Fundamental Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detailed-oriented and able to multitask.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
