Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable server-side applications and APIs.

This role demands strong expertise in coding, system design, and experience in building high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs
  • Implement server-side logic, databases, and data storage solutions
  • Optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes for efficiency
  • Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks; implement caching and load balancing
  • Ensure backend security against common threats such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality software products
  • Mentor junior developers and ensure coding best practices
  • Develop and run unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure software quality
  • Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and maintain uptime reliability
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Rust
  • Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis
  • Expertise in RESTful and GraphQL API design and implementation
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid understanding of Git version control and branching strategies
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures
  • Familiarity with message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Redis
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible
  • Exposure to frameworks such as Django, Flask, Spring Boot, and Go Micro
