Job Title: Backend Engineer

About Us

We are a cutting-edge Issuance Platform-as-a-Service provider, revolutionizing payment infrastructure for banks, corporations, and fintech companies. Our platform supports the issuance of various payment instruments, including PPI, debit, credit, multi-currency cards, and UPI.

We pride ourselves on supporting diverse, payment-instrument-agnostic use cases, fulfilling our vision of seamless and efficient issuance. Our suite includes an issuer processor (switch), a card management system, a configurable program manager layer, and various ancillary products, all designed to streamline the issuance process.

The Role

The ideal candidate will have strong programming knowledge in Java 8 and above, experience in software application development using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, and proficiency in SQL and NoSQL technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend services using Java. They will also optimize application performance, ensure scalability and reliability, implement security best practices, and participate in code reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Java.
  2. Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend developers, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions.
  3. Optimize application performance and ensure scalability and reliability.
  4. Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) to design efficient schemas and manage data flow.
  5. Implement security best practices to protect sensitive financial data.
  6. Participate in code reviews, ensuring quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
  7. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
