Backend Developer

Job Overview:

Admaren Tech is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our software development team.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining back-end systems that support our maritime operations platform.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of backend services with frontend applications, databases, and other core systems.

Your expertise in backend technologies will be crucial in delivering high-performance and scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of the maritime sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Scalable Software Architecture: Contribute to the design and development of scalable, maintainable, and efficient software architecture.
  • Product Lifecycle Ownership: Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, from conceptualization through development and deployment.
  • Test-Driven Development: Implement Test-Driven Development practices, including writing comprehensive unit tests, to ensure high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code.
  • Modular Code Building: Build reusable, modular code and libraries to promote efficiency and consistency across projects.
  • Application Optimization: Continuously optimize applications for maximum performance, speed, and scalability.
  • Security Implementation: Implement and enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with data protection regulations to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for all systems and processes related to the products you own.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Programming Foundation: Strong programming foundation in Python, including debugging and performance analysis.
  • Web Application Development: Experience in developing web applications and APIs (REST, XML, other open sources) and good knowledge of any framework Django / Flask.
  • Secure Software Development: Considerable expertise of the best practice on secure software development and handling of sensitive data.
  • Development Experience: Well-established experience in all phases of development – requirement gathering, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance, of enterprise-wide application systems.
  • Source Code Repository: In-depth knowledge of Source Code Repository and experience working with Git.
  • Database Design: Hands on experience in DB design & Architecture with focus on performance.
  • Caching Techniques: Have knowledge of caching techniques and utilities like Memcache / Redis.
  • Web/App Server: Experience working on Apache, Nginx, or any other web/app server.
  • Containerization: Experience in containerization tool -Docker.
  • Enterprise Deployment: Hands on experience in enterprise level deployment and scaling.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively solve complex problems and make informed decisions.
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
