Collection Strategy Manager:

The role of a Collection Strategy Manager involves leading a team to create and execute data-driven strategies for loan repayment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive analysis that informs operational strategy for loan repayment in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize internal and external data to build and optimize collection strategies that drive high rates of collection.
  • Oversee the performance and efficiency of collections teams, ensuring sufficient staff members are available to handle workload.
  • Monitor key metrics such as collections and recoveries performance and delinquency rates, auto pay, etc., and inform vendor strategies to maximize repayment at optimal cost.
  • Manage performance across the customer lifecycle focused on repayment.
  • Build strategic relationships with Product and Risk teams to drive cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence in collections and recoveries.
  • Identify innovative solutions and best practices to evolve the repayment experience.
  • Apply industry and internal trends to assess and recommend short-term and long-term repayment and collections strategies.

Requirements:

  • Quantitative background in engineering, statistics, math, economics, business, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years' experience in analyzing data using database query language (e.g., SQL) and programming languages like Python, R, Databricks analytics.
  • Possesses analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Possesses strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with ability to engage multiple stakeholders across teams.
  • Extremely proactive communicator willing to raise flags when needed and keep team members informed of ongoing risk or fraud-related activities.
