Civil & Structural WTG Foundation Design Specialist

We seek an accomplished Civil & Structural WTG Foundation Design Specialist to join our Engineering Design Office - Renewables. This role involves designing, analyzing, and optimizing wind turbine generator foundations to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and optimize various types of WTG foundation structures, including gravity-based, spread footing, piled, rock-anchored, shallow mat, ribbed beam, etc.
  • Perform structural load and stress calculations, including gravity, wind, seismic, and fatigue loads.
  • Select and validate construction materials for efficiency and sustainability.
  • Prepare and review design basis reports, BOQs, drawings, and calculations.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant building codes, such as BIS, ASCE, AISC, SBC, Eurocode, and others.
  • Collaborate with geotechnical, hydrology, BoP, electrical, and CTS teams.
  • Support certification processes with external agencies.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical support to business development, procurement, EPC partners, and consultants.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural specialization)
  • Master's in Structural or Civil Engineering (preferred)
  • 8-12 years of experience in the Power & Utilities sector, with a focus on renewable energy foundations
  • Proficiency in software tools like STAAD Pro, SAP2000, RFEM/RSTAB, SAFE, ETABS, and PLAXIS 2D/3D
  • Expertise in WTG foundation design, geotechnical risk assessment, hydrology, seismic analysis, and civil design codes
