Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead our organization's data strategy.

Job Description:

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems that meet the needs of our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data solutions that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop large-scale data processing systems using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines that integrate with various data sources and applications.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop and deploy machine learning models.
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize data-related initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of data systems and processes.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Expertise in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Hands-on coding experience with Python/PySpark.
  • Strong Big Data experience, GCP preferred.
  • Telemetry experience.
  • Streaming experience with analytics and data processing.
  • Business analytics experience and working directly with business partners to implement feedback.

Nice to Have Skills:

You will also have an advantage if you have:

  • Strong understanding of IoT systems, especially in refrigeration units, HVAC systems, controllers, and sensors.
  • Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar.
  • Ability to explain how data flows through IoT units and how sensors are designed and monitored.
