Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to lead optimization and automation efforts in our GIS team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing efficient workflows for geospatial data collection processes, including geocoding, transit data management, and Points of Interest (POI) collection.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Head of GIS and cross-functional teams to streamline current processes, enhance automation, and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

">

- Develop strategic plans to optimize geospatial data collection workflows across multiple products.

">

- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in existing processes and implement automation solutions to improve data ingestion and management.

">

- Collaborate with GIS engineers, data analysts, and product managers to define best practices in data collection and quality assurance.

">

- Work closely with the Head of GIS to establish process improvements, scalability strategies, and cost-effective solutions for handling large geospatial datasets.

">

- Drive the automation of manual workflows, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data processing pipelines.

">

- Evaluate and integrate third-party tools, APIs, and data sources to enhance data collection efficiency.

">

- Build and mentor a team of GIS specialists, automation engineers, and data experts to support process automation initiatives.

">

- Define and track KPIs related to workflow efficiency, data accuracy, and automation success.

">

- Ensure that all geospatial data workflows comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

">

Qualifications and Requirements:

">

- 5-7+ years of experience in technical project management, process optimization, or automation within data-intensive environments.

">

- Strong understanding of large-scale data workflows, data ingestion, and process optimization.

">

- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders across engineering and business units.

">

- Experience in implementing process automation tools and methodologies.

">

- Ability to translate complex workflows into scalable, efficient, and automated systems.

">

- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and KPI tracking.

">

- Familiarity with agile methodologies, sprint planning, and project execution.

">

Preferred Qualifications:

">

- Prior experience in GIS, geospatial data processing, or location-based services.

">

- Basic programming background (Python, SQL, or scripting languages) for process automation.

">

- Experience working with big data technologies (PostGIS, Snowflake, DuckDB, or similar).

">

- Exposure to cloud-based GIS platforms and APIs.

- Knowledge of ETL processes, data pipelines, and geospatial analytics.
