Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned APIGEE developer and architecture expert to join our team. As a key member of our digital transformation initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and managing scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs using Google APIGEE Edge or APIGEE X.

  • Design and develop APIs using APIGEE Edge / APIGEE X, leveraging your expertise in API design principles and best practices.
  • Implement API proxies, policies (security, traffic management, mediation, etc.), and custom scripts, ensuring seamless integration with our backend systems.
  • Collaborate closely with architects and backend teams to define API contracts and integration strategies, driving innovation and efficiency across our platforms.
  • Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and meet performance benchmarks, proactively monitoring and troubleshooting issues to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for API deployments, streamlining our development and deployment processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive API documentation and version control, facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members.
  • Work effectively with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and other authentication/authorization mechanisms, safeguarding our APIs from security threats and vulnerabilities.

Our ideal candidate possesses:

  • 5–8 years of experience in API development using APIGEE, with a strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
  • Expertise in API security standards, including OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT, and other relevant protocols.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, and other popular development frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably GCP, with AWS/Azure also acceptable.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
