Job Title: Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced tax professional to join our team. The role involves preparing and reviewing complex U.S. individual income tax returns, supervising junior staff, and serving as a technical resource on tax matters.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements in a deadline-driven environment.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparing and reviewing complex U.S. individual tax returns and related schedules.
  • Reviewing and interpreting client-provided financial documents.
  • Assisting in international tax filings.
  • Managing a team of tax preparers, providing training, guidance, and review of their work.
  • Coordinating with client teams regarding tax return status, issues, and queries.
  • Conducting quality reviews to ensure compliance with IRS regulations and internal standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • 5-8 years of experience in preparing and reviewing U.S. individual tax returns.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. individual income tax laws and filing requirements.
  • Proficiency with tax software such as CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or UltraTax.
  • Familiarity with workflow and document management tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
