Job Title: Senior Tax Professional

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced tax professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate preparation of business tax returns in compliance with U.S. federal and state tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare U.S. federal and state income tax returns for businesses, including Forms 1120, 1120S & 1065
  • Perform tax data entry using tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, UltraTax, ProSystem fx, Drake)
  • Organize and analyze client-provided tax documentation
  • Apply proper tax treatment based on current IRS guidelines and client-specific situations
  • Communicate with tax managers and reviewers to clarify issues and resolve discrepancies
  • Review prior-year returns to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Maintain documentation and working papers in accordance with firm policies
  • Meet internal deadlines and ensure all filings are accurate and timely
  • Support tax planning and compliance efforts as needed
  • Stay updated with IRS regulations and state tax law changes
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of experience preparing U.S. tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. tax concepts, rules, and forms (1120, 1120S, 1065)
  • Experience with U.S. tax preparation software preferred
  • Working knowledge of tax documents such as 5471s, and 8865s is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual team environment
