Climate Innovation and Sustainability Analyst

Job Title: Climate Innovation and Sustainability Analyst

 

As a key member of our investment team, we seek a dynamic and motivated analyst to join us in a location with a strong focus on climate solutions and sustainable innovation.

This entry-level position is ideal for candidates early in their careers who are passionate about venture capital, sustainability, and innovation. As an analyst, you will support the investment team in sourcing opportunities, conducting market research, and assisting in deal execution and portfolio management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Investment Research and Sourcing Support: Assist in identifying potential investment opportunities through research and preliminary outreach.
  2. Due Diligence Assistance: Support the team in financial analysis, market validation, and data collection for potential deals.
  3. Investment Process Support: Help prepare investment memos, presentations, and supporting documentation.
  4. Portfolio Support: Assist in tracking performance and impact metrics and conducting basic analyses for portfolio companies.
  5. Market Intelligence: Conduct sectoral research to inform investment theses and track trends in climate tech and sustainability.
  6. Ecosystem Engagement: Help coordinate our presence at events and build databases of relevant ecosystem players.

 

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, or related fields from a premier institution.
  • 1-2 years of work experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital, or startup roles; climate-focused work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills specific to early-stage investments.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Passion for climate innovation and sustainability.
