Design Engineer for Sustainable Transport Solutions

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate closely with thermal management engineers to define cab climate functions.
  2. Support the development of performance targets at individual component level for various components.
  3. Work with simulation analysts to analyze cooling & heating system performance virtually and plan & connect with full vehicle testing teams for verification.
  4. Verify heating system test outcomes and recommend necessary actions to meet set requirements.
  5. Ensure compliance with legal and certification requirements from heating & cooling systems.
  6. Lead and own the system FMEA for heating & cooling systems and guide DFMEAs by component owners and engineers.
  7. Secure end-user function requirements like cab heating function.
  8. Manage Quality, Delivery, Cost & Feature (QDCF) of the assigned system.
  9. Support component engineers with target component performance and durability for supplier selection and agreements.
  10. Define level 4 (system) time plans including cross-functional milestones using APQP as the supporting process.
  11. Accountable for managing Q-Tools such as D-FMEA, S-FMEA, Risk register, DFA and DFAM.
  12. Take full engineering responsibility, independently deliver tasks and guide junior team members within our thermal management groups.
