Key Role: Corporate Attorney

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Corporate Attorney with a strong background in IT services and consulting to provide expert legal guidance on corporate, commercial, and contractual matters.

Job Summary:

This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and vendor agreements. The successful candidate will also provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, employment, and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts and agreements to protect business interests.
  • Provide timely and informed legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, employment, and regulatory matters to support business growth and success.
  • Support the development and implementation of effective policies and processes to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with external counsel for litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution purposes.
  • Conduct internal training sessions on compliance and legal best practices to enhance team capabilities.

Requirements:

  • LLB/LLM from a recognized institution or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, preferably in IT services or consulting organizations.
  • Strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and management with international clients.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, intellectual property, labor, and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a mid-to-large IT services/consulting company with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Exposure to multi-jurisdictional contracts and cross-border legal issues with a strong understanding of international laws and regulations.
  • Membership in a Bar Council or Corporate Legal Association is an added advantage.
